Day 2 - Phnom Penh

Depart from Phnom Penh and travel through the Cambodian countryside and small villages towards Kampong Thom. Stop en route at Skun Market to buy a bag of the ch’ngain (tasty) eight-legged creatures.

The villages around the temple complex still practice the ancient art of craft making, using materials such as bamboo and rattan. Stop at one village to observe the local production. The community runs the Isanborei Craft Hut next to the temples and sells their products there as part of a community-based tourism project.

Continue to Siem Reap.

Day 3 - Phnom Penh

A visit to the capital Phnom Penh, include a journey into Cambodia's dark past; experience the wonder of Angkor Wat;  learn about the history and discover the hidden alcoves of monuments such as Angkor Wat, Bayon, Banteay Srei and Ta Phrom; head to the stilted villages on the Tonle Sap Lake.

Spend time getting to know the two intriguing destinations of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Arrive in Phnom Penh and embark on a relaxing tour of its majestic sights then spend the afternoon at your leisure or involve in an optional activity such as a visit to Tuol Sleng Museum. Then it's off to Siem Reap and the ancient city of Angkor. Visit the impressive temples then relax with some insightful touring.

Arrive in Cambodia's capital City and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in Phnom Penh.

After breakfast, start your visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom by ‘remork’(similar to the Thai tuk tuk). Enter the city through the ancient South Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with Elephants and four giant faces. On each side of the entrance path a row of 54 gods or demons is holding the sacred Naga snake.

Then continue to Ta Prohm temple, built in the mid-12th to early 13th centuries. Ta Prohm is unique in that it has been left largely as it was found: overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbling to the ground.

Day 4 - Siem Reap

Breakfast at the hotel and enjoy this morning at leisure.

This afternoon visit the biggest religious temple in the world: the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple. Considered as the masterpiece of the Khmer architecture, this Vishnuite temple is the King's funerary temple. Stay at this magic place until the sun sets and witness how the warm evening light changes the appearance of the 2000 Apsara dancers decorating the temple.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 5 - Siem Reap

Embark on an interesting boat trip on the Tonlé Sap Lake, where you will have the opportunity to learn about life on the lake.Board a local boat and visit Kompong Phluck, a village where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when Tonlé Sap Lake extends. On the way, you will pass floating houses and impressive flooded forests, portraying life on the water. Enjoy this afternoon free at leisure to relax at the hotel or to do some last minute souvenir shopping at Siem Reap’s colorful markets. Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your individual flight home.
