Andaman Islands

Andamans - Trips & Info Golden Triangle - Trips & Info Ladakh - Trips & Info ladakh6 Humayun''s Tomb - Long shot Bird''s eye view of Havelock''s Beach No. 7

Floating in splendid isolation, east of the Indian mainland is the archipelago of 572 emerald islands, islets and rocks known as Andaman and Nicobar Islands. These undulating islands are covered with dense forests and endless variety of exotic flowers and birds. The topography of the islands is hilly and abounds in evergreen forests.

The sandy beaches on the edge of meandering coastline are fringed with coconut-palms that sway to the rythym of the sea. The sea around the islands offers excellent scope for water sports. The rare avifauna, underwater marine life and corals, with crystal clear water is simply a heaven for scuba divers, snorkelers and sailors. A destination to discover.

Incredibly rich history, stunning architectural masterpieces, and a beautiful tapestry of culture and traditions await you on this often considered classical introduction to India.

From the Taj Mahal in Agra, to the sea of humanity in Old Delhi, and from the bazaars of Delhi and Jaipur to the warm hearted people of North India, you will be surprised everyday on the journeys of the Golden Triangle.

Add in magnificent wildlife from a choice of parks, or combine with a holiday in Southern India.

Whatever you choose to do in India on your first trip to this country, the Golden Triangle is an essential inclusion on your magical holiday.

Ladakh comprises of 45,000 square kilometres of high altitude desert that is dominated by rugged snow capped mountains, deep turquoise lakes, rugged cliff-hugging monasteries, and rushing rivers that feed into the mighty Indus. Along the river are tendrils of lush-green – orchards laden with fruit, and fields filled with golden barley.

For years, Ladakh was the purview of backpackers who made the road trip from the smoke-filled cafes of Manali over the high pass of Rohtang by bike or bus.

Today, with good air connectivity to Delhi and better infrastructure on the ground, you too, can visit Ladakh, without roughing it out (unless you choose to!).

More mini-continent that country, India's diversity of faith, language, people, cultures and landscapes will run riot through your senses. Silent but stunning edifices speak volumes of India's history, colourful cultures and communities display unparalleled creativity, breathtaking mountains, rivers, and oceans show India's bounty, and in the eyes of the magnificent tiger, you stare deep into the spiritual consciousness of this dramatic country.
